Kielbasa Soup
1 carrot thinly sliced
2 celery stalks chopped
1 onion chopped
1 lb Kielbasa
1 cup dried Grape Northern or Navy Beans
1 can diced tomatoes
1 bay leaf
salt & pepper to taste
6-8 cups beef broth
Cover on high for 5-6 hours
or
Cover on low for 8-9 hours * I prefer this method!
This is so good!! My sister in-law Gail made this for me one day for lunch,
and it was wonderful!! Not only is this a very quick meal to make,
but it is very frugal, tasty, and very healthy for you !!!
(Can not go wrong with that!!)

As promised, I have improved the way you can search for recipes on Frugal Living And Having Fun! Just click on the cookbook that is pictured above, located on the left hand side bar, and it will brink you to all the recipes in alphabetical order.
Here is a great recipe that is both frugal in time and money!! I plan on trying this one this week!

15- Bean Soup
Makes 10 Servings
1lb. dry 15-bean mixture
2 qts. water
2 cups lean ham, chopped
1 cup onions, chopped
2 cups canned, low-sodium diced tomatoes
1 tsp. chili powder
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, chopped finely
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
Soak beans in water overnight. Drain.
Mix beans, fresh 2 quarts of water, and ham in slow cooker.
cover. cook on low 8-10 hours.
Add remaining ingredients.
Cook on high another 1 hour or on low another 2 hours.
