DIY for Frugal Living – Furniture Polish

by Mary on March 16, 2012

Please remember to “PIN” this great furniture polish recipe so you will have it when you need it.

This was my next adventure into DIY house supplies and from this experience I have decided that as my store bought cleaners run out I will replace them all with DIYs!

  • Empty spray bottle (found at Target in the travel toiletries section)
  • Lemon juice
  • Olive oil

The One and Only Step!
Mix one part lemon juice to two parts olive oil into the spray bottle.

*When left under your sink or on a shelf the mixture will separate but just shake before each use.  There is absolutely no smell during application and it leaves the same dustless shine as Pledge!

Hi there! Thanks for the great tip! I found it on Pinterest. I didn’t have a spray bottle around (and didn’t feel like making a trip to the store–ha!), so I just used an empty soda bottle and used it to apply the polish directly to my rag. It worked like a charm, and I got to feel good about recycling, too! :)
