SAVE BIG at CVS
I wanted to make a post and make sure all my readers know how to, “SAVE BIG” at CVS.
I worked for CVS for 15 years. In those years I did anything from working in the store as a store manager to advertising, to auditing their 401-K Retirement Fund.
You name it, I did it. However, even though I LOVED working for CVS and was employed with them for 15 years, I never liked shopping there. I always felt their prices were too high, and I could get it cheaper at larger discount stores like Walmart and Target. Truth is, they are very expensive if you don’t know how to win at the CVS game! **Now that I know how to save Big at CVS, it is my #1 store to shop at!!
So today, I would like to take a few minutes to talk about:
Ways to save more at CVS!
**Register your Extra Care Card at CVS.com for coupon mailings!
**CVS will e-mail special coupons to those customers that register their Extra Care Cards on line. It is free and will save you big. The nice thing about CVS coupons is they are able to be used “in addition to” all your manufacturer’s coupons. If you had a $5.00/$20.00 CVS Coupon, you buy $20 worth of items, use all the coupons you have for those items you bought, then stack the $5.00/$20 reducing your final cost quite a bit. The $20 is based on the total before one coupon is used. I recommend you hand them the $/$$ Coupon before any other coupons so the cashier doesn’t get confused.
Sometimes they e-mail you coupons for a Totally FREE item. Now that is always nice!

**Buy a Reusable Bag and Green Bag Tag and for every (4) times you use your reusable bag, you will earn $1.00 Extra Bucks.
**Note: Something I recently discovered was this: I put my green bag tag on my key ring. This way here, if I just run in for one or two items and I forget my re-usable bags, I can carry my items to the car and still have them scan my card. Since I have been doing this, I have been earning a lot more $$$. **I was always forgetting my bags a lot, and/or I would ride by a CVS and realize I need to run in for a few great deals!! **With the green bag tag on my key ring, I can always have them scan my card!!!

**Scan your Extra Care Card *EACH time you visit CVS at their Scan Center (Red Machine)
This has saved our family hundreds of dollars over the past couple years. I get the BEST coupons from this little red machine! Today, I scanned my card and was given a $2.00/$10 Worth of CVS Brand items. So I bought (2) Twin Packs of CVS Tylenol ON SALE, Earned $2.00 Extra Bucks, Earned 4% on my CVS purchases, and CVS took $2.00 off of that! “smile”
I cannot tell you the wonderful scenarios I have been able to do by using these great little CVS Coupons. Because they are CVS Store Coupons, you can use them on top of manufacturer’s coupons. One time there was a Colgate deal, and the final price after extra bucks was $1.00. I went into CVS scanned my card and it printed $1.00 off any Dental Care Item. **Yahoo! FREE toothpaste~!
So Always scan your Extra Care Card when you walk into CVS. Make it a habit.
Scan it before doing any other shopping.
