GIVEAWAY!! Flip Along Fun Interactive Children's Storybook

Photobucket

As an educator of my own children, and a long time reviewer of Chilren's educational books, I am always looking for educational books that allow children to learn while having fun. Recently, I had an opportunity to review an interactive, colorfully illustrated, 9"x12" laminated board book written and illustrated by Michael and Sarah Dowling.

This Flip Board Book is designed for children ages 2-6, but I believe it would even entertain older children that enjoy reading to their younger siblings. The book is a nine page book that is split in thirds vertically. The child chooses one panel from the first and second section and reads the fun rhyming story line, then finds the matching panel in section three. If the child selects the correct panel, the number and type of animals will match up with the first two panels!

It is just brilliant how the author combines several aspects of early childhood development into one book all while the child is enjoying him/her self. The illustrations are very colorful and gives each animal its own personality. With all the different story combination a child can make by choosing the different panels, this book is sure to keep a young child busy for awhile. I know when my three girls where smaller, they loved any book with a flip or a flap! Children just love the repetitive motion of flipping panels or opening flaps in books.

Another thing I like about this book is it doesn't need batteries, and has no sounds, whistles, or beeps. Though it fun to have those books once in awhile, I truly enjoy the interactive books that stand all on their own merit without the noise and electronics behind them, and this flip book certainly does that.

Michael and Sarah Dowling, husband and wife, have created a wonderful flip book with a lot of fun that is sure to be a child's childhood favorite. When I received the book, my youngest daughter and I sat down to look at it together. Though she is ten years old, she enjoyed looking through the book, and talked to me about the logic of how the book worked. She was also inspired to go and make her own flip book with a comb bind machine we have.

I am sure you will love this book for your children and/or your students. You can order autographed copies or read more information about this book at www.FlipAlongFun.com or call (912-634-5777).

Below is a quick video where you can view the quality and brilliance behind Michael and Sarah Dowling's work.

Michael and Sarah would also like to award one reader from Frugal Living And Having Fun a signed copy of their book. All you have to do to enter this giveaway is watch the movie below and tell me what you think about the book. You need to be a reader of Frugal Living And Having Fun to win this giveaway! ~Have Fun~

THIS GIVEAWAY WILL BEGIN NOW AND WILL END ON,
Thursday January 7th

I like that the child has control over the story, and they have to use critical thinking skills to find the correct ending panel.
